At the beginning of the academic year, Year 10 students were encouraged to embrace a vision of giving back to both the school and the wider community. We are delighted to celebrate the many students who have done exactly that, demonstrating a wonderful commitment to service, leadership and community spirit throughout the year.
Students have contributed to school life in a wide range of ways. Many applied to become Student Ambassadors and represented the school at key events such as Open Evening and Parents' Evenings, helping prospective families and visitors gain an insight into life at Hinchley Wood School. Others have supported the Remembrance Service, acted as buddies for new students joining the school, spoken with university researchers, and even contributed to discussions with local MP Monica Harding on the important topic of mobile phones and teenagers.
These opportunities have allowed students to develop confidence, responsibility and leadership skills while making a meaningful contribution to the school community. Their willingness to volunteer their time and support others reflects the values we are proud to promote at Hinchley Wood School.
To congratulate all of the students who have participated in these activities throughout the year and their positive contribution, they were invited to take part in a Colour Run – a well-deserved reward and celebration of their efforts.
