APPLICATIONS FOR SEPTEMBER 2025 ENTRY ARE NOW CLOSED

APPLICATION TIMELINE

  1. JULY:  Online applications open
  2. OCTOBER: Open Evening
  3. 22 NOVEMBER 2024: applications closed for 2025 entry
  4. JANUARY/FEBRUARY: Informal review meetings
  5. FEBRUARY/MARCH: 1-2 weeks after review meetings, conditional offer letters emailed to applicants; offers are conditional on candidates meeting the minimum entry requirements upon receipt of GCSE results
  6. JUNE:  Induction Day
  7. AUGUST:  Online enrolment for all students - usually same day as GCSE results released.  *Waiting list applicants will be contacted once main enrolment is complete and if spaces are available.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The overall minimum entry requirement for Hinchley Wood is 7 GCSE passes, comprising grades 9 - 4, INCLUDING English and MathsIndividual subject, minimum grade requirements can be viewed via the link in the left hand column (bottom of the page on a mobile device) of this page.

A Level Subject Choices - we understand that applicants can sometimes change their minds about the choice of subjects they select in an application.  It is, therefore, possible to change subjects up until enrolment day, provided they fit within the options table and the student meets our entry criteria. 
PLEASE NOTE: Subject option blocks may change after the review meeting phase of the application process; students affected will be contacted.

  • There is no catchment area for Hinchley Wood Sixth Form.
  • Places are offered based on minimum entry requirements being achieved and the full application process being completed.
  • There is a Published Admissions Number of 20 for non-Hinchley Wood School applicants.  If there is over-subscription for places, the Sixth form Admissions Policy will be applied.  This number DOES NOT include applicants who apply via the Surrey County Cricket 6th Form Programme.
  • If the applicant has an EHCP, please contact Fiona Gravette (see below) before completing the online application form.
  • Current Hinchley Wood students do not have automatic entry.
