On 8 October A Level Geography students carried out fieldwork for their independent investigations. The physical geographers visited Seaford to collect data for their independent investigations. The students were well prepared with data sheets and a plan for collecting their data. Once we arrived, the cohort brilliantly modified their data collection approach to take in to consideration large waves and a bulldozer on the beach! The students worked quickly, measuring the height and width of the beach along 4km of Seaford Bay, and impressed us with the number of questionnaires collected throughout the town. They also spent time assessing the different types and effectiveness of the sea defences.
