On the evening of Wednesday 17th June, our Year 8 students took part in Poetry Live, a poetry competition hosted by St Mary's University.
Representing the school with confidence, two students competed in each language category, delivering beautifully recited poems to an audience of spectators. Many enhanced their performances with expressive actions, bringing their poetry to life. The competition also challenged participants to read and interpret an unseen poem.
Although Hinchley Wood School was not placed amongst the top three schools this year, we are incredibly proud of our Year 8 students for their commitment and willingness to take on this exciting challenge. They represented the school brilliantly and should be congratulated on their fantastic performances.
