On 9th May our four Hockey Teams travelled to the Nottingham Hockey Centre to take part in the U14 Tier 2 National State School Hockey Tournament.  All the HWS teams did exceptionally well, however, our Girls A Team were unstoppable and dominated their group securing a top-tier spot in the knockout stages. Their form continued in the semi-final with a victory against Skegness Grammar School which then led to a nail-biting final against Bohunt School.  The HWS team seized an early lead and maintained an excellent performance throughout. Despite a tough battle in the scorching heat and excellent defence from Bohunt, our girls emerged triumphant with a 1-0 victory, clinching the national championship title and not conceding a goal all day!  Congratulations to all - a fantastic day for Hinchley Wood School and we are so proud of everyone who played!
